Separate W/L measurements from regional trouser labels
Choose waist and inseam separately in the ASOS tables. W32 and L32 each point to an 81 cm reference there, but one concerns waist and the other concerns inside-leg length. Rise, taper and thigh room remain product-specific; two jeans with the same W/L can feel different.
For HUGO, use the additional jeans/chino table that includes the seven regional systems and its paired width labels. A slash such as 33/34 is kept exactly as a label. Do not interpret the HUGO regional trouser number as a replacement measurement in the ASOS table, and keep the regular-length qualification when comparing listings.

W32 L32 combines two labels. Published body anchors are rounded; a label is not a promise of the finished garment’s exact dimensions.

What does W32 L32 mean?
W is the waist label and L is the inseam label. The ASOS reference gives 81 cm for each of these 32 labels.
Does a larger waist mean longer legs?
No. Select the inseam separately and check the individual product.
