Belt labels are not the belt’s total length
This ASOS chart groups trouser labels: S–M corresponds to the listed 31, 32, 33 and 34 waist labels. Selecting the belt group displays all four references. That grouping does not define the total strap length or the distance from buckle to a fastening hole.
Before ordering another brand, read how it measures belt length and compare the position where you will wear it. A belt worn through trouser loops and one worn high on a dress may need different fastening lengths. Avoid adding a fixed number of inches without checking the product’s method.

START WITH MEASUREMENTS
How to measure
- 01
Read the waist label on your ASOS trousers.
- 02
Measure around the belt position over the trousers you plan to wear.
- 03
If comparing a belt length, check where that brand starts and ends the measurement.
A few things labels don’t tell you.
This is the ASOS grouping for its own trousers. Do not apply a universal add-two-inches rule or confuse full belt length with fastening circumference.
