Choose children’s clothing by measurements before age
An age band is a browsing shortcut, not a measurement. In this H&M reference, US 7 corresponds to Europe 128. Start by measuring the child without shoes, then check the product’s chest, waist and garment length. Children of the same age can need different proportions, especially when shopping across brands.
Keep toddler labels such as 2T and the listed 6X label intact when searching. If height falls between published anchors, the finder offers the next height reference and explains its limits. That result does not guarantee room for growth: sleeve cuffs, adjustable waists and the actual garment measurements are more useful for checking how the item will wear.

A few things labels don’t tell you.
Toddler sizes and older-child sizes may overlap in age while using different proportions. A 4T and a 4 are not guaranteed to fit identically.
Common questions
What does 2T mean?
T indicates a toddler label. It is an age-related category, so confirm height and body measurements.
Is EU 110 an age?
No. European children’s labels commonly refer to height in centimeters. Confirm the brand’s supported height range.
Should I buy solely by age?
Use age as a starting point, then check height, chest, waist and the garment cut.
Can I convert children’s clothing to Russia, Japan, Korea or S-M-L?
